Breaking ground

How it works

  1. 1 Download.

Get the folder. Open it on your computer.

npm install && npm run dev
  2. 2 Answer a few questions.

Groundwork asks what you are trying to do, who decides, and which tools you want. About twenty minutes.

  3. 3 Hand it to your agent.

Claude Code, Codex, whatever you use. It builds your first version from your plan.

  4. 4 Refine your draft.

The site is a first version on purpose. Make it yours with your agent: sections, photos, a second survey, your words everywhere.

Going live

Go live

  1. Set up a database.

Where signatures and answers are kept. We recommend Supabase; the free tier is enough to start.

  2. Deploy.

Put the site on the internet. We suggest Vercel.

  3. Get a domain.

Buy one there or bring your own. A free address works until you do.

  4. Get the word out.

You have a live website. Put it in the group chat, on social, and on the table at your next event.

People who said “someone should do something” and then realized it was them.

Why it is free

We have been there.

We built Pedon because we have led our own grassroots efforts and had to stitch together a pile of software to do it. Anyone can build from scratch; Pedon is the head start that gets you going quicker.

We are always open to feedback and ideas, so do not hesitate to reach out.
